Role: Oozie Nifi Developer
Location: McLean, VA
Long term Contract
Description:
• At least 5 years of experience developing in Hadoop, Unix, Python, Spark
• Experience working with different Databases and understanding of data concepts (including data warehousing, data lake patterns, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data)
• Experience with one or more relevant tools (Sqoop, Hive, Atlas, Ranger, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, NiFi, HBase, Solr, Avro).
• Hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning Hadoop/Spark implementations.
• Deep knowledge on Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and distributed processing techniques such as Map-Reduce
• Implementation and tuning experience specifically using Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (EMR).
• Experience with Columnar databases like Snowflake, Redshift
• Experience writing automated unit, integration, regression, performance and acceptance tests
• Solid understanding of software design principles
• Ideal candidate would also have a good blend of HDP development, configuration and administration experience.
